Defining Moments

How I responded to discouragement

  • THE NOISE

    Messages from Parents:

Medicine is the way to go to make a good living.

  • How I responded:

You find your own path, sometimes by accident and that is okay. You might be on one path and realize that maybe it's not for you. Open your eyes around you and see where you have embedded yourself in, and you might realize that you have found a new passion that you never have thought of before. There is not one professional that you can make a "good living," there are many and not only that, you want to also love what you do!

Experiences and challenges that shaped me

  • My parents immigrated from Poland and even though both are educated, they both had no clue how the education system worked in the U.S. It was not only a huge learning experience for me, but for them as well.
